The Genesis Block

Every chain begins with a message. A timestamp etched into the first block, forever immutable — a record of the world that made this chain necessary.

2009: Banks collapsed under toxic debt. Governments printed bailouts.
2024: Governments collapsed under sovereign debt. The printing never stopped.
Same crisis. Same code. Different decade.

Born from BlueWallet.
Forked for BC2.

GenesisWallet is a community-driven open-source fork of BlueWallet, one of the most trusted Bitcoin wallets in the world. We preserved everything that makes BlueWallet excellent — its security model, its clean architecture, its commitment to self-custody — and adapted it for the BC2 network.

BC2 (BitcoinII) is Bitcoin's conservative sister chain, preserving Satoshi's original proof-of-work code with a fresh genesis block. GenesisWallet gives the BC2 community a native, mobile-first wallet built specifically for this chain.

Every element — from the gold-amber color palette to the network parameters — has been carefully adapted. This is not an official wallet — it's a community project, built by the people who use it.

Self-Custody First

Your keys, your coins. GenesisWallet never has access to your private keys or seed phrase. Full sovereignty by default.

Fully Open Source

Every line of code is public and auditable on GitHub. A community fork you can trust, review, and contribute to.

BC2 Native

Purpose-configured for the BitcoinII network — correct chain parameters, Electrum server integration, and BC2 address formats.

Everything you need.

How to Verify Your Download
A checksum lets you confirm the file you downloaded hasn't been tampered with. You'll generate a hash of the file on your computer and compare it to the one on this page. If they match, your download is authentic.
1Open your Downloads folder and note the filename (e.g. GenesisWallet-0.1.0.apk)
2Press Win + R, type powershell, and press Enter
3Type the following command and press Enter:
4Compare the Hash value in the output to the hash shown on this page. They should be identical.
1Open Terminal (search "Terminal" in Spotlight with Cmd + Space)
2Type the following command and press Enter:
3The long string of letters and numbers that appears is your hash. Compare it to the one on this page.
1Open a terminal
2Run the following command:
3Compare the output hash to the one on this page.
If every character matches, your file is genuine. If even one character differs, do not install it — re-download from the official GitHub release page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is GenesisWallet?
GenesisWallet is an open-source, community-driven fork of BlueWallet — one of the most trusted Bitcoin wallets in the world. It has been adapted specifically for the BC2 (BitcoinII) network while preserving BlueWallet's security model, clean architecture, and commitment to self-custody.
What is BC2 (BitcoinII)?
BC2 is Bitcoin's conservative sister chain — a proof-of-work cryptocurrency built on Satoshi Nakamoto's original Bitcoin code. It preserves the foundational principles of Bitcoin while addressing modern challenges, maintaining SHA-256 mining compatibility and the original difficulty adjustment algorithm.
Is GenesisWallet safe to use?
GenesisWallet inherits BlueWallet's robust security architecture. Your private keys never leave your device, it supports HD wallets with BIP39/BIP44/BIP84, and the entire codebase is open source under the MIT License — meaning anyone can audit the code. As with any wallet, always back up your seed phrase and store it securely.
Where can I buy or trade BC2?
BC2 is currently available on NonKYC (BC2/BTC and BC2/USDT pairs) and CoinEx (BC2/USDT pair). You can also mine BC2 using any SHA-256 compatible ASIC miner by connecting to a BC2 mining pool.
Can I mine BC2?
Yes! BC2 uses the SHA-256 proof-of-work algorithm, the same as Bitcoin. Any SHA-256 ASIC miner (such as the Antminer S19 series) can mine BC2 by pointing it to a BC2 mining pool. Mining payouts are received directly in your GenesisWallet.
How do I get started?
Download GenesisWallet from the GitHub releases page, create a new wallet, securely back up your 24-word seed phrase, and you're ready to receive BC2. You can get your first BC2 by mining, trading on an exchange, or receiving from another user.
Is GenesisWallet affiliated with BlueWallet?
No. GenesisWallet is an independent, community-driven fork. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by the BlueWallet team. The fork is made possible by BlueWallet's open-source MIT License, and all original BlueWallet attributions are preserved.
